Kurilskoye Lake is situated on the territory of Yuzhno-Kamchatsky Natural Park, which is included in the UNESKO World's Inheritance List.

A unique summer-autumn aggregation of bears in the basing of the lake is due to abundant fish available. Tourists can observe the astonishing scenes of bears fishing in the natural habitat. Excursion around the Lake give the possibility to watch salmon spawning and bird rookeries of the multiple islands.

Lake Kurilskoye is Asia's largest spawning ground for the blue-black salmon. The spawning of the blue-black salmon also attracts hundreds of big raptors, including Steller's sea eagles, white-tailed eagles, golden eagles.

 
   The winter ecosystem of Lake Kurilskoye is absolutely unique - the birds demonstrate there their unique
   adaptations to feeding on salmonids.

  The most impressive pumice cliffs are located in the south of Kamchatka, round the Kurilskoye lake.
